Structure in Architecture
In this course students explore a wide range of structural systems and their practical applications in design. Throughout the semester, they learn about different types of structures, analyzing their behavior, materials, and construction methods. After studying each structural system, students develop physical prototypes to test structural performance, stability, and efficiency. This hands-on process helps them understand the relationship between theory, material use, and structural form. The course culminates in a full-scale 1:1 final project, where students design and construct various types of deployable structures, demonstrating their technical knowledge, experimentation skills, and ability to translate structural concepts into real-world applications.
