Lines of Legacy: The Art of Hand-Drawn Architecture

As part of the “Lines of Architectural Legacy” research initiative, the Architectural Design and Digital Architecture Program at Galala University, in collaboration with Beit Yakan in Old Cairo, presented a curated exhibition celebrating hand-drawn architectural work.

The exhibition showcased selected drawings from architects, designers, and artists, highlighting the precision, creativity, and craftsmanship of traditional architectural representation prior to the digital era. It aimed to reconnect contemporary practice with these foundational techniques and inspire new generations to value hand drawing as a tool for design thinking and identity.
