History and Theory of Architecture and Urbanism

Provides an outline of the history of architecture from Ancient Egypt to the 19th century. Analyzes buildings as the products of culture and in relation to the special problems of architectural design. Students develop their understanding through sketching, physical model-making, and site visits, allowing them to explore architectural forms, historical contexts, and spatial experiences through both analytical and hands-on learning approaches.
